Meet Our Founder
Prem Thanki
Founder & Engineer
Prem Thanki, MBM, is the founder of Mustronics and lead consultant. Since 2006, he has led electronics design and contract manufacturing projects for companies in New Zealand and throughout Asia.
Prem has over 20 years of experience in production, manufacturing and operational process improvement, and supply chain management in the technology sector. He is knowledgeable of the strategy, analytical tools and techniques necessary for business process improvement using machine learning and artificial intelligence. He is known for being customer-focused with excellent communications and relationship-building skills.
Prem is passionate about emerging technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT). His expansive career has provided valuable experiences with start-ups, international business setup, market research, preparing business plans, setting and achieving goals to deadlines, and exploring new ideas to increase revenue and market growth.
Prem completed his Master of Business and Management at University of Waikato. Through distance-learning, he has also completed a range of papers at the University of Michigan. He gained his B.E. (Hons) in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Manukau Institute of Technology. Prem also provides a voluntary mentoring service to New Zealand SME businesses and a past member of Business Mentor New Zealand.
When not working, Prem loves spending time with his family and advancing his many Internet of Things (IoT) ideas and innovations.
